Two boys, aged 11 and 13, were arrested after police say they stole a pickup truck and smashed it through the front of a vape and cannabis shop in northern Manitoba.

RCMP were called around 3:40 a.m. Monday about a break and enter at the store — identified online as Four20 Giggles — on Selkirk Avenue in Thompson.

Officers found the storefront window fully shattered with broken glass throughout the store, a Monday news release said.

Surveillance camera footage showed the truck, with an Ontario licence plate, ramming the store window. A number of items were stolen and the truck sped off again.

RCMP found the truck not far away and stopped it with the two boys inside. The truck was confirmed to have been stolen.

The 11-year-old was later released, without charges, to a family member. The 13-year-old remains in police custody.

RCMP continue to investigate.

The owner of the store, who confirmed the incident, did not want to be interviewed.
