Katrina had worked for Piikani Resource, police said.
On top of the pair's fraud and theft charges, the husband was additionally charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
He is a member of the Piikani Nation RCMP detachment, located 200 kilometres south of Calgary. He has been suspended with pay.
It's unclear what the nature of the alleged crimes was. RCMP declined to provide further detail due to the ongoing legal proceedings.
Grant and Katrina are residents of Pincher Creek, just west of Piikani Nation. They are set to appear in court Feb. 18 in nearby Fort Macleod.
