Why drift logs are leading to ecosystem loss along B.C.'s coastline

Researchers from the University of Victoria have found that the back-and-forth motion of stray logs are leading to the widespread loss of species like barnacles, and others that live in intertidal areas. As Caroline Barghout found out, the lumber industry is moving away from a log transportation method that some say is contributing to the problem.
