RCMP would not disclose exactly where McCook was found and haven't said what day he died.
The 16000 block of Gatzke Road runs parallel to Highway 97, which connects Kelowna and Vernon. The stretch of road is occupied by at least six homes and a gravel pit and building material company.
Police say they have released a photo of McCook in the hopes of furthering their investigation and that they're looking for public assistance in determining what happened.
