Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki announced recently that his wife is pregnant with their first child — a girl due in the spring.

On this Hockey Inside/Out Show bonus episode, former Canadiens teammates and 1986 Stanley Cup champions Chris Nilan and Rick Green join The Gazette’s Stu Cowan to talk about how becoming a father changed them.

Nilan became a father while playing for the Canadiens, while Green waited until after his playing career was over before starting a family.

They also offer some paternal advice to Canadiens players who became fathers for the first time this year, including Brendan Gallagher, Josh Anderson and Jake Evans, whose wife gave birth to twin boys.

Look for two more bonus episodes coming up during the holiday period and if you haven’t already done so, please subscribe to the Hockey Inside/Out YouTube channel. The Hockey Inside/Out Show is also available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
