Edmontonians woke up to a thick blanket of snow covering the city on Christmas Day.
Environment Canada is forecasting a 30 per cent chance of flurries which will clear Thursday morning, however, a cloudy evening is anticipated with a 60 per cent chance of flurries overnight.
Winds are expected up to 15 km/h on with a forecasted high of -16 C. Forecasters are predicting a wind chill of -24 C and a wind chill minus near -25 C overnight.

A heavy snowfall on Christmas Eve resulted 10 to 15 cm which continued through the afternoon into the evening. Environment Canada issued a yellow-level snowfall warning for those on the roads to take precautions as visibility was going to be impacted by the storm.
There are currently no reports for the majority of the roads within Edmonton city limits, according to 511 Alberta. The website says Highway 216 is partly covered in snow or ice with secondary conditions of drifting snow, shoulder ice/snow and icy sections.
Conditions on Junction 34 Ave Northwest to Junction Highway 16 is cleared of any snow and could be wet or dry with secondary conditions of black ice, icy sections, slipper and shoulder ice/snow.
