Cameron Holloway is back behind bars after failing to abide by his parole obligations, according to a news release Tuesday from Cochrane RCMP.

“In early December 2025, Cochrane RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit was advised by its partners at Correctional Service Canada that Cameron Holloway (28) had been approved for day parole and released from custody,” the release states.

“Holloway failed to return to the facility as required and a Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest.”

Upon receiving word of the nationwide warrant, members of Cochrane RCMP coordinated with the Alberta Sheriffs Fugitive Apprehension Support Team (FASST) to assist in locating and arresting Holloway.

“Using joint information sharing, investigators determined Holloway’s whereabouts and effected a safe and timely arrest within days of the reported breach,” the release said.

“Holloway’s parole has been revoked, and he will remain in custody. Cochrane RCMP continues to work closely with partner agencies to locate individuals that are unlawfully at large.”

While Cochrane RCMP did not include details on Holloway’s incarceration, he was previously charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault in May 2022, following a stabbing at the SAIT CTrain station in Calgary.

According to a previous Calgary Police Service news release, Holloway was involved in a group swarming and stabbing that took place on April 22 of that year, when six people confined a male victim inside a shelter on the platform at the SAIT LRT station, refusing to let him leave.

They then escorted the victim, later identified as Jaskaran Jhutty, through the station to a stairwell connecting to the Jubilee Auditorium, where they physically assaulted him and stabbed him in the neck. Jhutty was able to hit one of the LRT station’s emergency help buttons before collapsing. Once found, he was transported to hospital in serious condition, but recovered, according to courtroom testimony.

However, charges against two of the assailants in that case were withdrawn.
