Montreal police are investigating two Sunday morning arson incidents in the Rivière-des-Prairies district that destroyed a total of seven vehicles.
At 2:15 a.m., a 911 call was made about a burning cube truck at Gaston Maillet Ave., near Joliet Curie Ave., said Montreal police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils.
When police arrived at the scene, the Montreal fire department was already extinguishing the blaze. Preliminary information shows one or more suspects set fire to the truck and fled before police arrived.

The vehicles torched included four cars, a van and a cube truck.
In both incidents, Chèvrefils said incendiary materials were found on the scene. No other property damage was reported in either of the incidents and no one was injured.
