Manitoba RCMP are searching for two adults who have not returned home after going out  for a snowmobile ride in northern Manitoba earlier this week.

Mounties received reports on Thursday about Kyle Mason, 28, and Taryne Mason, 27, who have not been seen since they left from St. Theresa Point First Nation, located about 460 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg, in the early morning hours on Monday.

It's possible the two were heading to a cabin on Cantin Lake but no contact has been made with either of them since they left, police said in a news release on Friday.

No information on their intended destination or route of travel was provided to anyone, police said.

The family of Kyle and Taryne Mason have reached out to numerous friends, relatives and acquaintances but they have not obtained new information, RCMP said.

Local search parties have been organized and are actively searching in the ice roads.

Anyone with information about the missing adults, including those who may have seen the snowmobile or those who have information about where they were headed is asked to contact police at 204-456-2626.
