The social media posts by a Saskatoon man who's charged with public incitement of hatred are "truly horrific," says a spokesperson for the Jewish organization B'Nai Brith Canada.
Brandon Taylor Moore, 45, made his first appearance in Saskatoon provincial court on Thursday, charged with inciting hatred and unsafe storage of a firearm.
Richard Robertson, director of research and advocacy at B'Nai Brith Canada, said his organization filed several complaints against Moore, and thanked the Saskatoon Police Service for holding Moore accountable.

"His posts online, which have only increased in volume and in intensity over the last several months, are truly horrific," Robertson said in an interview. "Mr. Taylor Moore engages in conspiracy theories, denials of the Holocaust, and promotes some of the most virulent antisemitism that we have ever seen at our organization."
Moore's account on X contains daily posts about Jewish people — with the most recent posts being from Wednesday — and references conspiracy theories ranging from the Second World War to COVID vaccines. He has also made numerous posts questioning the Holocaust.
Robertson said it is rare to see someone post as "virulently" as Moore, and he hopes more charges will be laid.
"Mr. Taylor Moore needs to be held accountable for his actions. Our courts and the law enforcement in this country need to send a clear message that you cannot engage in the peddling of inciting hateful rhetoric online without facing due consequences for your actions."

Saskatoon police said in a news release that they began investigating after receiving a complaint last year about a person who was making antisemitic comments online.
The Saskatoon Police Service hate crime unit investigated. Officers executed a search warrant at a home that "resulted in the seizure of digital evidence as well as a firearm," the news release said.
He was released from custody on Thursday and returns to court on Jan. 13.
The conditions of his release include that he shall not publish or post anything on the Internet or social media, and cannot be within a one-block radius of any Jewish community centre.
