A retired RCMP officer was twice denied amputee insurance by Canada Life. He was injured in the line of duty and for years doctors tried to save his leg, but it was eventually amputated. After CBC News looked into the case, the insurer finally granted him coverage. But as Jackie McKay reports, advocates say the same thing is happening to other amputees across Canada.
