Ottawa police say one suspect has been identified in connection with a series of west-end merchandise thefts, but they are still trying to ID two others.
The Ottawa Police Service had originally issued a news release on Dec. 10 stating that it was attempting to find out the identities of three women who were suspects in an investigation into multiple thefts.
On Nov. 23, thieves went to businesses in the 1700 block of Carling Avenue, the 300 block of Richmond Road and the 600 block of Eagleson Road and stole merchandise from each store, police said. They concealed items in their clothing before fleeing the area, police said.

Suspect 2 was described as 30 to 35 years old with long, dark hair and weighing about 180 pounds. She was wearing a long black dress under a long black puffy jacket.
Anyone with information that could help in the investigation was asked to contact Det. Jennifer Brazeau of the Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2106.
