Police are seeking help from the public to identify the vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian that took place in the west end of the city this afternoon.

At around 1:53 p.m., police responded to a collision near 170 Street and 95 Avenue, where a 17-year-old male had been hit by a vehicle.

Police say the pedestrian was treated by EMS and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but the driver had left the scene shortly after the collision.

Law enforcement is seeking any information to help identify both the driver and the vehicle, which is believed to be a silver-coloured Acura that may have damage on the front driver-side door and the windshield.

The driver was described as a South Asian female.

Anyone who witnessed or has footage of the collision can contact the police at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
