Line 1 halted between Tunney's Pasture, Lees stations

Line 1 LRT service is down in both directions between Tunney's Pasture and Lees stations, according to OC Transpo.

Around 8 a.m. Sunday, the transit agency posted online that trains were not running along that stretch and that R1 replacement bus service was taking riders between Tunney's Pasture and Hurdman stations.

"We are working to resolve as quickly as possible," the online post said, without specifying why the trains had stopped.

That stretch of the line was still out of service as of 1:30 p.m. CBC has asked OC Transpo for more information.

Trains are still running on the line's east end between Hurdman and Blair stations. There were no alerts affecting service on Lines 2 and 4 as of 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Last Wednesday, Line 1 service was also paused when two different trains ended up stalled on the line.

Service was also disrupted on Lines 2 and 4 the same day because of a switch problem.
