A woman is facing arson charges after police allege she lit a mattress on fire in a Winnipeg apartment, which led the building to be evacuated.
Officers were sent to respond to a report of a fight and a fire inside an apartment suite on Mayfair Place, near River Avenue, shortly before 6 a.m. Friday, police said in a news release on Saturday.

The rest of the building's residents were forced to temporarily evacuate the building.
The 31-year-old believed to have started the fire was found and arrested nearby.
No major injuries were reported.
Investigators believe the woman deliberately set the fire after a dispute with family members.
She was charged with arson with a disregard for human life, and arson causing property damage, police say.
She was released on an undertaking.
