Calgary police continue to search for a suspect after a fatal shooting in southeast Calgary they believe is linked to organized crime.

Police say a man was found shot to death outside of his vehicle around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the community of Ogden, near 76th Avenue and 20th Street S.E.

The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Feysal Osman Abdul-Aziz.

About an hour after the shooting call, Tsuut'ina Nation Police attempted to stop a blue Nissan Sentra they say was driving aggressively near the Elbow River bridge onto Weaselhead Road, but the driver did not stop.

Police say the vehicle finally stopped near Buffalo Run Boulevard, where four men exited and fled on foot.

Three of those men were taken into custody. One has since been released, while two are being held on unrelated warrants. Police say none of them are members of Tsuut'ina Nation.

Police were unable to locate and arrest the fourth man, who they describe as having a dark complexion and was wearing dark clothing. They believe he went to the neighbouring community of Woodbine, and may have also gone to Oakridge, Cedarbrae or Palliser.

Police believe he may have been soliciting people for a ride in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and are asking anyone who might have been approached to contact them.

"We know that acts of violence, even when targeted, deeply impact the community and cause concern for Calgarians," said Insp. Darren Smith with the Calgary Police Service.

Police also located a burned-out vehicle on Tsuut'ina Nation and are trying to determine if it was connected.

This marks the city's 14th homicide of 2025.

Abdul-Aziz was previously acquitted after being charged with second-degree murder in a fatal shooting outside a Calgary hookah bar.
