The Edmonton Oilers have recalled rugged winger Max Jones from Bakersfield of the AHL.
The team also placed Connor Clattenburg and Jack Roslovic on Injured Reserve, with Jake Walman going on Long Term Injured Reserve.
Max Jones
Jones, 27, has five goals and seven points in 17 games for the Condors along with 49 penalty minutes. He’s a tough grinder with NHL experience. He scored one goal and one assist in 19 games for the Oilers last year.

Eight other forwards have more points than Jones in Bakersfield, but the Oilers are clearly filling a role here, not bringing in the top prospect or the best player available.
Right now Edmonton’s more rugged wingers are banged up. Connor Clattenburg is out after a wicked slash to the face, Trent Frederic just got 14 stitches after taking a puck to the face, and Mattias Janmark took off practice yesterday as a maintenance day.
Frederic is able to play tonight.
