A Windsor man identified by police as a suspect in a home invasion last month has been arrested.
Police said Monday night Nicholas McCullough, 30, was taken into custody in London and transported back to Windsor. He faces two counts each of robbery with a weapon and assault with a weapon.
Windsor police said in a press conference earlier this month that three people were arrested and McCullough, the fourth, was wanted related to a home invasion in Windsor's east end.
Two masked men with a gun forced their way inside a home on Aspenshore Avenue, according to police.
A 72-year-old man was injured trying to fight off one suspect, while a 71-year-old woman was thrown to the ground before jewlery in the home was stolen. The suspects allegedly impersonated police immediately before the incident. The three people first arrested by police are facing charges of impersonating a peace officer.
According to police, McCullough was on parole as part of six-year, seven-month sentence for aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited weapon, discharging a restricted firearm with intent, and failure to comply with probation.
