Ontario Provincial Police have ended a shelter-in-place advisory for McKenzie Street in Pembroke after a "shooting incident."

https://twitter.com/OPP_COMM_ER/status/1761000670268719213 at 7:10 a.m., their Upper Ottawa Valley detachment asked people around McKenzie Street to shelter in place because of "an ongoing police investigation."

Followup information said the investigation was "a shooting incident" and the call came around 6:30 a.m. One person was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries and one person had a firearm inside a home, they said.

At 8:45, police posted one person was safely taken into custody and there was no longer any need for people to stay inside and lock their doors and windows.

McKenzie Street is between River and Eganville roads south of the city core.
