Egyptian Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad held on Wednesday an expanded meeting with representatives of the World Bank to discuss the latest developments concerning preparing the country climate and development report (CCDR).
During the meeting, the minister hailed the WB support especially in the climate file as well as Egypt’s hosting of the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27).
She also stressed her keenness on preparing a report to the COP27 as an outline of Egypt’s efforts to face the consequences of climate change.
The minister added that the report will help identify routes that countries may take in climate and development fields as well as the most effective steps at institutional, regulatory and legislative levels in the climate change and development field.
