The projects assessed during the meeting included the expansion of the Middle East Oil Refinery, commonly known as Midor, in Alexandria.

They also included the Coking and Solar Production Complex at the Suez Refinery for Petroleum Manufacturing, and a complex for the production of wood panels from rice straw.

Minister el-Mulla underscored the importance of adhering to the timetables of the projects under implementation.

He also called for finding creative solutions that may face this implementation, against the background of current international developments.

The minister also highlighted the importance of coordination between the companies implementing the projects with a view to speeding up their work.

The implementation of these projects, the minister said, would have a significant impact on securing the needs of the local market, reducing imports and increasing exports, especially of production surpluses.

“This will at the end support the national economy,” the minister said during the meeting.

Minister el-Mulla alsolistened to an explanation about the three projects mentioned above from specialists involved with their implementation.

He called for utilizing the latest technologies and applying occupational safety and health standards in implementing the new projects.
