Arabnews24.ca:Thursday 19 January 2023 09:25 PM: Oil exports in Egypt have broken the record in 2022, standing at $18.2 billion, the government said.

Additionally, non-oil exports have increased by 12% since last year and now stand at $35.2 billion.

During a meeting, the cabinet said that the Egyptian economy is showing “positive” changes thanks to the government of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli.

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Mulla said that oil exports reached $7 billion in 2022, compared to $12.9 billion a year earlier.

According to Mulla, this was a “big jump.”

Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir said that the Egyptian non-oil exports achieved an unprecedented figure.

Despite the global conditions affecting the oil and gas markets, the exports still reached $35.6 billion in 2022 and increased 12% from the previous year.
