RAMALLAH – Israeli forces re-opened on Monday Karm Abu Salem crossing after a seven-day closure to allow goods and fuel into the Gaza Strip.

The presidential committee for coordinating Palestinian cargo access said fuel-laden trucks were allowed in to operate the power station in Gaza which shut down as the Israeli aggression closed the terminal causing shortage of diesel oil.

Karm Abu Salem is the only commercial crossing through which the Israeli authorities allow the entry of commodities into Gaza.

Forty-four Palestinians were killed during the three-day Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, including 15 children, four women.

Thirty-six people were injured in the attacks in addition to destroying public and private property and infrastructure.
