The days leading up to Christmas day can be the most stressful time of the holidays. Especially if those days are spent travelling to the post office hoping to pick up that special, last minute gift you ordered online, just in time to put it under the tree.
In Dawson City, Yukon, people are being notified that the mail they're expecting won't arrive until after this weekend.
"I don't think there will be another truck coming in for the next two days," said post office employee Ann Lamarche.

Manitoulin Transport brings mail and other supplies from Whitehorse to Dawson and surrounding communities. A worker at the Dawson City office said it's been too cold lately to run the trucks.
"Past minus forty it's already super hard on all of the equipment," Sam Thibault said.
Thibault said under extreme temperatures fuel lines can freeze. He said a simple bump in the road could cause a lot of damage to a truck's suspension. But according to Thibault, it also comes down to driver safety. He said if something were to happen on the road, limited access to emergency services could create a dangerous situation.
A spokesperson from Manitoulin Transport said weather permitting, the next truck to arrive in Dawson City is scheduled for Monday.
