Just call them the odd couple of senior cat duos.
Milo, with white and grey colouring, and the black-haired Sky, are two bonded 10-year-old male cats available for adoption from the Toronto Humane Society
However, they are quite different personality-wise, says THS spokesperson Lucas Solowey.
“Milo is the more curious of the two,” said Solowey. “So he starts out shy but with time and gentle encouragement, his affectionate nature does shine through. He does enjoy chin rubs. He leans into head pets. And he’s into wand toys.”

“(He’s) a bit more reserved and thoughtful,” said Solowey. “He prefers to observe but eventually he does approach. And he does have a bit of a playful side. He will come out for some cat nip. He will also play with some toys or a treat. And he’s learning to enjoy being pet a bit more. So they’re both affectionate.”

The feline duo were surrendered by their previous guardians in May.
‘Very sweet cats’
“So they’ve been with us for awhile,” said Solowey. “They’ve been in foster homes but we’re really looking to place them with a great family because they are very sweet cats. I think (the reason they were surrendered was) just a change in living arrangements and it just wasn’t possible to keep them, sadly.”
In terms of behaviour, the cats are good with kids and possibly other pets, as well, said Solowey, who added, “I did see a note that they were OK with dogs, but I think it would take an introduction, slow and steady. ”

As for their advanced ages, both Milo and Sky appear to be in good health. Cats generally live 13-17 years, but can make it even longer.
Thrive in a peaceful home
“The most important thing is just that they continue to stay together,” said Solowey. “And they would thrive in a peaceful home with someone who understands love can grow slowly but in return they do offer gentle companionship, quiet moments and the reward of watching two sweet cats continue to blossom together.”
To sweeten the deal, THS is also waving the adoption for the second cat, so you can adopt both Milo and Sky for the single fee of $225.
“Anywhere’s fine (rural or uban) as long as they can enjoy a space together and have some quiet but also a bit of playtime together,” he said.
