Police have issued warrants against an Edmonton man accused of repeatedly harassing and threatening women he meets on dating and escort sites.
Police were first alerted to the man in 2022 by a woman who met him on Tinder, the Edmonton Police Service said in a Wednesday news release.
After the pair exchanged phone numbers, the man began harassing and berating the woman. When she blocked his number, he used several different phone numbers to continue harassing her.

The harassment eventually ceased for a time before it resumed in 2025. Police said the man found the victim on LeoList, a Craigslist-style website, and arranged a date using a fake name and fake photograph. When the woman refused to continue the date, he uttered threats.
The accused reportedly arranged a date with the woman using a fake name and photo to avoid being recognized, and when the woman refused to continue the date, he progressed to uttering threats.
EPS issued warrants for Matthew Edward Williams, 36, who also goes by Matthew Galpin, on Nov. 14, 2025, for uttering threats to cause bodily harm and criminal harassment. He is already under two release orders for similar investigations in Calgary and B.C.
