Major cities may not exactly embrace it, but it's not uncommon to spot a few snowflakes making an appearance in April throughout the country.
Spring is notorious for its unpredictable weather patterns, where a metropolis can transition from balmy temperatures to snow showers within the same week (take Edmonton, for instance).
Despite not being enthusiastically received, this occurrence is rather standard in major cities nationwide.
