A former Windsor Assembly Plant nurse committed professional misconduct after inappropriately touching and sexual advances and more, according to the discipline committee of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

The hearing stems from complaints in 2020 and 2021 about the nurse, who is male, from one female worker/patient and female nurse colleagues.

The college's disciplinary committee said the man "contravened the standards of the practice of the profession" and engaged in "dishonourable and unprofessional conduct."

The CNO's database shows he first registered as a nurse in 1982 — then resigned in December 2021. That resignation will be permanent, per the terms of his agreement with the CNO.

Records show the man has an active Michigan nursing licence that expires later this year.

The Windsor Assembly Plant employs a team of registered nurses to provide health care for its thousands of workers. In 2017 the team numbered 16, three of them full-time.

Stellantis declined to comment on the case last month, saying the company does not comment on legal matters.
