President Sisi had an open dialogue with the FAJ officials on ways to bolster vital role of the Arab press.
The president indicated that the press has been facing new conditions imposed by the spread of social media on a broad scale, Spokesman Fahmy said.
This makes it necessary for the press to carry on with modernisation, creating balance between the requirements of competitiveness on the one hand, and depth and objectivity of presentation on the other hand, the president said in remarks during the open dialogue.
President Sisi underscored Egypt’s unwavering stand in support of Arab causes, adding that such a stand aims to promote Arab solidarity, consolidate national institutions and reject interference in the internal affairs of countries, Spokesman Fahmy said.
