Arabnews24.ca:Friday 30 September 2022 08:28 AM: CAIRO – Health Minister Khalid Abdel Ghaffar had a meeting with Francine Katsoudas, the Executive Vice President and Chief People, Policy and Purpose Officer of “Cisco”, to discuss means of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in the healthcare system in line with the State’s strategy for digital transformation and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that the two sides discussed means to boost bilateral cooperation to support the Health Ministry’s strategy to digitize the healthcare system in the country, a matter that would have a positive impact on the quality of services offered for citizens.

The meeting took up means of promoting bilateral cooperation in the digitization of patient records and linking them to a unified system at hospitals to enhance whole-person care practices, the spokesman further noted.

The meeting discussed joint cooperation to benefit from the company’s extensive expertise in the hospitals, affiliated to the General Authority for Healthcare (GAH), in Egypt’s governorates, the spokesman said.
