A 31-year-old woman is accused of assaulting a 45-year-old woman with a baseball bat over narcotics in Sarnia, Ont., last Friday, Sarnia police say.
On July 19, police responded to an assault with a weapon complaint at the encampment at Rainbow Park, which police said was a dispute over narcotics which led to a physical altercation between the two women.
Police said the victim was struck in the body, multiple times with a baseball bat and has received minor injuries.
The accused was located within the park and was placed under arrest. She faces charges of assault with a weapon and four counts of failure to comply with a probation order, police said.
The accused was subject to three separate probation orders with various conditions, police said.
The accused appeared in court on July 20, and was released on bail with conditions.
