Vauxhall Cross, the massive headquarters of Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service (or MI6), sits on the south bank of the Thames in London’s Vauxhall area. The postmodern complex, designed by architect Sir Terry Farrell and completed in 1994, has triple-glazed windows, two moats, and subterranean sections. Featured in several recent James Bond films as the home of MI6’s 00 section, Vauxhall Cross was attacked in 2000 by an RPG-22 anti-tank rocket.
